Went to the big metrolops today,Bury.
Have not seen my sister in law and niece for some time, my husband’s sister.
We always got on and she was my bridesmaid.
They are very generous , so I wanted to get some nice presents.
Sooo- a soup mug each, lots of bird feeding stuff ,a really pretty scarf each and. book vouchers and jigsaws..
Also managed to find Christmas wrapping paper.
On the return bus ,two stops along a party of young adults with Special Needs, one in a huge wheelchair ,and their carers got on.
The driver lowered the platform for the wheelchair ,but it would not rise again and so the bus would not move ,.
We all sat there like muffins ,after a half hour a relief bus came along and we were on our way.
Any longer and we would have been reduced to singing —- “ Oh ye canna shove yer grannie off the bus” .
However in true British fashion we knew one and others’ family history in next to no time.
The lady seated next to me and I had a good old chinwag -we had the world to right in next to no time. !
Got some peppered smoked mackerel from M&S.,so easy tea.
Am busy altering some good trousers, but so much too big now , at least three sizes , about six pairs.
Hard to see to see navy and black .
Treated myself to a pot of new pins ,new needles ( with needle threader)and a seam slitter,my really good one has disappeared since son came —- !
Well another cuppa and more sewing .
Cheerio .Viktoria, ——-on this very
dark grey day .
