Walter NELSON missing after 1902

This NELSON family are giving me a headache  :-\

Walter NELSON was born in Stepney in 1872.

His parents were both dead by 1890.

I can see him with his brother, Thomas, in 1891 living at 62, Longfellow Road, Mile End Old Town.

I can't see a definite entry for him on the 1901 census.

There is an entry in the settlement register of Hackney Union in 1902 but it doesn't give many details.

Can anyone find further information - census entries for 1901 or later, marriage or death?

He was a warehouseman in a sugar refinery.

There is a Walter Nelson of 234 Hackney Road London on WW1 service record - no age or family shown

It sounds as though it will be impossible to tell if it's him.

I can an entry or a Walter NELSON with a strange middle name added in the Registers of Seamen's Services. but it doesn't sound like the same record.
