John Cavanagh Catherine McDermotte

Hi, I am trying to trace any family of the above named people. They were married in Easington Durham in 1856 and I am looking for any family that may still exists Please.

Do you need help with descendants of this couple, we would need to know exactly what information you need.

Is this the correct 1861 entry?  Looks like a second marriage

I am not looking for living family. I am aware that is not what root hat is for.
They were married in 1856 Durham

You need to register with FamilySearch which is free.  Then you will be able to see the entry. 

Do you have an Ancestry or FindMyPast subscription?

CaroleW. Very many thanks for your help. I don’t have any subscriptions at the moment. The information is really helpful. I was told they had a son names Thomas born around 1864/7.

There is an 1851 for a John Cavanagh in Easington - wife Margaret - but amongst other children is a 5yr old son John b Ireland

Will post full details shortly but need to check some details first to make sure it's the same family
