Mary Ann Horan as born 7 minuets past 11o'clock Wednesday 24th January 1809 Portsea. Her parents Timothy Horan & Mary

They do not appear on 1841 uk census because:

After her marriage to Thomas Lewis they travelled to Adelaide SA between 1836-41. A daughter Mary Chapman Lewis was born 1840/41 in Adelaide. Thomas the father died in Adelaide in 1841 no age recorded. By 1851 widow Mary Ann Lewis has travelled back to the UK and remarried William Henry Mullinger in 1850. They appear in 1851 census. Mary Ann  died 1887 Portsea.

Hello, Yes I have had all this information for a few years , However there are a lot of mistakes on the Horan Bible, and there were a few Mary Ann Horan's in Portsea at the same time. There is also documents of Timothy Horan being a tailor and not a sailor. and no DNA matches with Mary Anns siblings apart from one and she doesnt have a DNA match with anyone else apart from myself. Gedmatch are also showing the same matches as Ancestry.

Hi, I appreciate you wanting to have documental evidence for your research. This is only possible sometimes as you will know in buying certificates.

Looking at various baptism records for the children of Timothy & Hannah Horan suggests his occupation as a Tailor/Taylor.

Baptism records of Thomas & Mary Lewis children show his occupation as a cordwainer.

The marriage certificate of Mary Ann Lewis/ William Henry Mullinger in 1850 may show her father as Timothy with an occupation unless it just records deceased.

Sorry cant help any further.

Thank you SS , Yes this is the thing  it's a bit early for marriage certificates, and as you say the wedding certificate for Mary to William Mullinger  says Timothy then deceased. But what I am saying is  did Thomas Lewis senior actually mary Mary Ann Horan or was she married previously for a short time  to a Horan and a different family to the sailors (this could have been a different Horan family and a differnt Mary Lewis who married William) or was it actually Mary Ann Horn who married Thomas. How many people on here are on Ancestry and have a DNA match with anyone tracing the Horan Sailing family ? Out of all those children Hannah and Timothy had I have a DNA match with one person then we both have a match with another person from a different  Horan family. Very strange ,unless one of us was bought in Tesco lol
