Surname Confirmation
« on: Wednesday 31 January 24 08:40 GMT (UK) »
Looking for little confirmation on this Baptism Entry

Elizabeth daughter of William Stogdon was Baptised the 24th of October 1669.

Mostly it's Williams Surname I need clarifying (for my peace of mind)

I agree with Maddy. Stogden. That's how an e was written.

Thanks everyone .

It's in Chichester in Sussex and it's in 1669

Oldest recorded version of the name and a bit off route (most Stogdons/Stogdens are in Devon/Bristol/London)
