Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Pte John Wood - Royal Scots - Reg No - 3052809 - died 11/4/1943 - aged 31 years - Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire. Buried Fetteresso New Cemetery, Stonehaven.

The private memorial marking the grave of Pte Wood  no longer provides adequate commemoration.  The Commission are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Wood; husband of Margaret Wood, of Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire. (father of two children ?)
Husband of Margaret R Anderson of Newtonhill, Aberdeenshire.
Married in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 22 Aug 1939.
