Do take the relationship slow with your new “1/2 sibling”, go at their pace after all it is they who are the product of a probable liaison between your Father and their Mother and it maybe that they are unaware that the person who they believe to be their Biological Father is not.
Just to rub salt in it for your Daughter, ;-) my DNA shows a pretty good amount of Italian Ethnicity and this is accounted for my Great Grandmother’s prior unknown Father being an Italian Musician who would have been on the touring Theatre circuit in the UK.
