Help with address please
« on: Thursday 01 February 24 16:12 GMT (UK) »
An RAF person of interest who trained in South Africa under the Empire Training Scheme wrote to his parents on 21 January 1942 and gave the following address for them to reply:

Service Number L.A.C. 'name'
Y X Y X . G.
RAF HQ c/o A.P.O. 1710

Any idea where this was, please
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

You have posted this on the WW1 page when in fact it should be the WW2 page as it relates to 1942

Isn’t it a central forces post office address?  Ie you send the mail there, and then they redirect it/send it to the actual location?
