I note Edwards parents were Edward & Mary.

Edward & Joan’s children were:

Mary 1737, Elizabeth 1738, William 1740, Edward 1742, Thomas 1744,
John 1747, Richard 1750 & Jane 1755

So I guess the baptism I posted seems unlikely as Joanna's parents names do not feature above.

There are Web/Webb baptisms at Lanreath 1709 – 1722, parents Nicholas & Mary

They did have a daughter Joan baptised 15 Apr 1722, the note below is on the freereg record.

BOWDEN alias WEBB. Duplicate entry provided to allow for the alias.

Nicholas WEBB of Lanreath married Mary TRUBODY
12 Oct 1708   Cornwall   Lanteglos-by-Fowey : St Wyllow : Other Transcript

This burial has the same note with the Alias Bowden
Nicholas WEBB   Burial   22 Jan 1755   Cornwall   Lanreath : St Marnarck : Parish Register

Mary WEBB   Burial   10 Mar 1740   Cornwall   Lanreath : St Marnarck : Parish Register

Colin
Clarke, Trickett, Orton, Lawless, Norton, Detheridge, Kirby, Goodfellow, Wagstaff, Lowe, etc.

The legal history of marriage consent can be summarized: for girls was 12 in the 13th century, but was lowered to 10 in 1576, and remained there until it was raised to 12 in 1861, then to 13 in 1875, and then to 16 in 1885. One could enter into a Common Law marriage at the age of 12.

Not sure if you have seen the actual register to discern whether the surname is HOBB or WEBB?

Another possibility for a baptism:
Joan HOBBS 13 Feb 1714 at Lansallos (5 miles from Lanreath), parents - Thomas and Joan

And of course, the baptism ColC mentioned at Lanreath in 1722 could have been a late baptism, not necessarily a baby.

This is a good point, the marriage record is on Ancestry and the name is clearly Hobb.

Just a further point of interest, may be, on the 8th September 1737 a William Bakes also  married there.
