Isabella (Spoor) Moore (1865-1913) - Indiana.

Hello,

I am seeking any newspaper details for Isabella Moore (nee Spoor) (b 1865 Indiana) who was married to John Moore (1855-1928). On returning to Clinton, Indiana, after the funeral of her father, William Spoor (1833-1913) on 24 May 1913 she was brutally murdered by her husband.

Was there a trial, and what sentence was given? I am interested to know more details. I am also looking for the marriage record of Isabella Spoor and John Moore, unable to locate.

John Moore died in 1928 and was buried in Cottage Hill Cemetery, Brazil, Clay, Indiana, USA, the same cemetery as his victim, her father and other family members.

yeah, I'm browsing 1882 marriages in  Clay County now. so maybe the image is still there. Give it a try.

those records have marriages registered on 2 Nov and 6 Nov. there are no pages missing from the book, so maybe Isabella's marriage information came from another source. or it's listed out of order in the book??  I don't know.
