I would like to know the written occupation after the name FFairwather and before the words Earl of Strathmore. I think it starts with a G, thank you, Val

I believe it is:  Grieve

That is, a farm bailiff or overseer in Scotland.

ADDED:

By the way, it is written:  ffairwather

That is Fairwather when modernized.

The meaning is still Grieve.
