     One name I have never come across though is avis Doreen,this is a brand new name to me,this is fascinating as none of my older family members have ever mentioned her,intriguing

via FindMyPast I've found a quite harrowing article about her in the Leicester Mercury, Wednesday January 12th 1955, page 13. Normally I would transcribe an article, but it feels prurient to do so in this case. If you can't access it, it send me a private message and I'll get it to you.

In terms of family history:
refers to 3 children, a boy of ten (Clifford?) and two girls aged six and three
says that she is the mother of seven children, only three with her now
her mother lives in South Wigston
she had been evicted from their home in Liverpool
her husband in prison and not expected to be released until July 1955
