Hi Martin

I believe the grave is in Section "West Plot". The lair no. is 119. This is just by the main road and next to Dewar's. Have a look at the map for the cemetery here www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=678193.0

Just a point to note....The actual death date for Maud McCauley from her death reg does not match the date showning on the gravestone. She died on 23 November 1967 (the stone is showing 1969).

Similarly, husband Daniel actually died on 31 May 1943 not 1945.

You likely have the correct dates for their deaths but thought to mention in case you didn't have this info.

Monica

Hi Monica,

Yes these incorrect dates are all over Ancestry but who can argue with a head stone ? I try to tell folk what the correct dates are for my grandparents but have had no luck. At least I know their correct birth & death dates! My poor aunt who had the stone made is very old and the last member of her family so I don't have the heart to mention it.

Kind Regards,

Martin
