Made a recent appeal for relatives of  Lance Corporal Adrian Beatson Stokes - died 25/12/1915 -  aged 48 years  -Royal Sussex Regiment.

Research shows Lance Corporal Stokes is buried Old Cemetery, Hove. CWGC are in the process of producing a headstone to mark his grave. A relative has been found and the family would like to know more about the military service of their great grandfather.  Please can someone help with more details please.

The 2/6 RSR (Cyclist Btn.) were a Territorial Btn.
His service no. indicates an attestation of Aug./Sept. 1914.

Unfortunately neither the family or myself have access to find my past which is a shame.
But I can pass the information re cause of death and he had previous service as a part-time gentleman soldier with the Honourable Artillery Company 1891-1896
