Obituary Look Up

Can anyone help with looking up a newspaper obituary for William Simpson who died on 13 March 1926 at 20 Monks Road, Winchester, Hants.  He was born  on 7th March 1848 in Rothes, Morayshire and was married to Emma Hughes on 16th October 1907 at Birnie, Morayshire
His parents were Archibald Simpson and Jane Jolly.
Emma was born circa 1842 in Eccles, Manchester and her parents were Henry Hughes and Judith Bryce.  I don't have a death date for her.

Winchester paper on FindMyPast is only up to 1909 at present.
Not seeing an obit notice  elsewhere.

I presume you got his death details from the probate index, did you get the will. 

What evidence do you have that he predeceased Emma

Both alive in 1921

Whilst not conclusive - the absence of Emma's name from the probate entry could suggest she pre-deceased William

Have you checked the 1921 census?

Emma was still alive in 1921 on the census with William
I can't find a death for her

It may be a good idea to purchase Williams will to see if Emma is mentioned.
