E.C.G or E.G.G. Lascelles -- who was he?
« on: Monday 05 February 24 09:57 GMT (UK) »
Lascelles was court martialled and cashiered in May 1916 for 'scandalous conduct, four times'. He was a lieutenant in the RASC but I can't find his service record. I also can't find anything else anywhere, although I do have his medal card from the NA. The Lascelles family seem to have been wealthy and well-connected but this one man seems to have left very little mark.
My dream would be to identify his service record (I'm hoping it might be under his first name, whatever that was) but anything would be appreciated. It would help a great deal if I knew his full name, date of birth or as I say, anything, really!
Condick; Bull (Herefordshire only); Layard; Wilmot; Southgate; Fowlie (Singapore branch); Usher (Dundrum); Kelley (Lancashire);

Shaun, you have broken your own time record in replying to me! You're an absolute genius. Most grateful, many thanks!
