« on: Wednesday 07 February 24 15:42 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking to confirm the Militray Reocrd on George Thomas Blakesley born 1890 Lambeth, and possibly served in the London Regiment (718) of the Royal Fusiliers.
Any help gratefully received

FindMyPast have this record
Blakesley George Thomas (birth year) 1891 (year) 1909 British Army Service Records
ADDED

Adding London Regiment to the FindMyPast search brings up just the above record.
Is this what you have?

He was born 26 March 1890 in St Saviour London Mother Georgina Harris who married Alfred Blakesley in December Quarter 1881
He could have Enlisted when he was 18 in 1908
Then went back in during 1917
He Married 29 August 1914
His Son George T was born December Quarter 1915 so obviously he was a Home 1914 and 1915
And his second Son Alfred T was born December Quarter 1917 sp obviously he was Home in UK in 1916 and 1917
If he did Enlist it must have been late 1917
What profession is shown on his Sons Birth Certificates ? If he was a Soldier it would say that.

The regimental number 718 refers to his time in the militia 1909-1912, in the 6th City of London Rifles.
