Last appearance of Herr RONNIGER in newspaper adverts is Oct 1868

Then in 1870 Martha Jane turns up in London.  (She did singing & elocution lessons as well as paintings) a lot of very interesting mentions and advertisements in the papers)  under Madam RONNIGER & ROUNIGER.

So if she was widowed, that narrows it down.

I can't find any deaths for him 1861-71 in Scotland or England or even in Germany (in case he went back).

Did the adverts give a contact address for him?

There is a death for a

Friedrich Ronniger aged 48 in St. Moritz , Saxony on 4 March 1869 and burial  on 6th.

It might not be him because I saw some entries for him with a different wife  in earlier records.

Address for Herr Ronniger…mostly c/- music sellers or other agents but

1862 is 21 Castle street, Edinburgh

Also…just found October 1869 in Kensington
Madame Rocelli-Ronniger.     Perhaps Rocelli just to make herself more flamboyant  :)
Fluent in French & German.

The Examiner
06 June 1874

A long piece headed  “The condition of women in India”

She seems a very interesting woman!

Added.. she also gave lectures one titled “Songs of Scotland”
And she wrote book/pamphlet reviews. At least 1 anyway.
