What needs to be addressed in the Ancestry account settings please?

Wishing to view an 'Public' Ancestry tree that is labelled "NO TREES" I ask the tree owner to invite me as a GUEST or to simply make the tree PUBLIC.
The tree owner often responds that their tree has always been 'Public'.
Sometimes when trying again, I get a second error message [below] implying that invitations are time-limited or provisional.

What needs to be addressed in the Ancestry account settings please?

Now I get this error message:

Your invitation has already been used.
The invitation could not be found, or it has already been accepted.

There's nothing in this advice about time-limit/provisional invitations.

If the tree named "no trees" shows in your list, it seems to be saying hat you've viewed it before. If you no longer can, it seems to mean that your access has been revoked by the owner. Despite them saying that it's public, it's clearly not (right?). Perhaps they just don't want to share with you any longer. I don't think it's controlled by any setting in your account.

I was getting the same message yesterday. I had signed into my husbands account and given permission to be Editor on a tree of his to me on my account.  ::)
