J.E.S. Wemyss, 2/Lt, 9/Middlesex
« on: Thursday 08 February 24 16:40 GMT (UK) »
This is such an unusual name but I can find nothing else about this chap except his medal card! It would be fantastic even to get his first names, anything else would be a bonus. Discovery, Ancestry and FindMyPast have not helped me but I'm wondering whether someone out there can do better ...???

I think I know why he was on the 'suspense list' but need more information to be sure!
Condick; Bull (Herefordshire only); Layard; Wilmot; Southgate; Fowlie (Singapore branch); Usher (Dundrum); Kelley (Lancashire);

*dancing round room*
I should have realised that although Discovery listed him as JES that it might be wrong. In my defence I found two others yesterday despite their misspelt names!
Thank you both very much indeed!
