Help needed with death record on irishgenealogy

Hi

Think this is a first for me but the death record appears to be written in Gaelic? (sorry if I have that wrong) and I can't read it!

Charles O'Hara Trench died 29 May 1927 at Confert Eyrecourt co Galway (got that from Edinburgh Probate)  RD Ballinasloe
can anyone tell me the cause of death please and also the informant appears to be M A Trench, is a relationship noted?

The informant is possibly his daughter in law, Mary Adelaide Lambert Trench.

I only did some months of this in school many decades ago so I'm largely guessing, but I see 'bean a mic' - and 'bean mic' comes out of the google online translator as son's wife (mic I think is genitive of mac (son) - look at the Walsh informant in the entry above it and the way the 'm' is written).  So 'daughter-in-law' would fit as you say.

Baby steps based more on google than my memory, but that character at the end of the first word of the cause of death looks like the lenited form of 't', so I'm reading 'meath na', indicating decline, decay, failure, deterioration, hence the likes of 'meath na seanaois' for senile decay, but in this case I can't read the words in the next line below.

Added: the first letter of the next word looks like the old script for 's', so maybe 'sean' (old).

I'm really struggling with this old script.

Added again: Might be 'sean aosse' meaning old age, so maybe I'm right after all - 'meath na sean aosse', effectively senile decay.  It gets two other mentions on that page, in both cases the deceased were of advanced years. Open to views.

Can't make out that last word... is it the duration of illness I wonder?

It looks like it starts with 'Dea' and ends with 'gead', or possibly a lenited form 'ghead' if one looks at the example in the entry above it.  But the bit in the middle is lost to me.
