Bishop Auckland Registry Office
« on: Saturday 10 February 24 13:23 GMT (UK) »
I have just received a marriage certificate :
1942 in the Register Office (Durham South Western)

Would this be Bishop Auckland Registry Office, Cockton House or somewhere else in 1942?

Thankyou

Bishop Auckland was in the Durham Western district from 1938.

Civil parishes in Durham South Western can be seen here:
https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/durham%20south%20western.html

If you scroll down, you can see the original civil parishes that formed Durham South Western under Note a and Note b.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)
