If no one can find one on line, you could try the Ask a Librarian service of the Queensland Library for a lookup. I've found them helpful in the past.

Regarding the Ask a Librarian service at the Qld State Library, I have used this service around 4 times in the last 5 years asking for details of Death/Funeral Notices in the Courier Mail. On each occasion they have sent me a copy of the notices.

I am an NSW Resident.

Last week I sent a request to check for a death notice in 1966 which was not included in the Ryerson Index. I had the date of death but was not sure if there was a notice. I received a reply within 2 working days with a copy of the Funeral Notice.  Included in the reply was this statement

"Please note that the Courier Mail is also held at your own state library in New South Wales. As the role of the Australian state libraries is primarily to provide services for the people of their own state, it would be appropriate for you to contact the State Library of New South Wales if you have further requests for notices from newspapers held by them.

Contact details for your state library are as follows:
State Library of NSW
Sydney NSW 2000
(02) 92731414
http://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/services/ask/index.html?HomeLink=Ask_A_Librarian

You are, of course, most welcome to contact us again if you require information that is held only at the State Library of Queensland."
