Have you looked her up on the 1939 register to establish her full birthdate?

EDIT  - I see you were given that info on your previous post

Did you use GRO online to determine her middle christian name?  It was Doreen & her birth was registered in the Sept qtr of 1919

Husband died 1986 per previous post - Derbyshire

Online deaths only cover to 2007 so you would need to use GRO online to search after that date
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

If no death found - possibilities are:

Remarriage
Emigration

Not found the death yet, but:-

Leicester Evening Mail 12th January 1955.

MOTHER AND HER CHILDREN WERE HOMELESS

Dialing 999 from a phone box at South Wigston at 11 p.m. on a cold January night, a 10-year old boy spoke a "please will you help us" message to Leicestershire police.
When the police turned out to investigate the call, they found 35-year old mother, Mrs Avis Doreen North, and her three Children...(named but might be living)...huddled together in an entry in Tansley-avenue to keep warm.
 THEY HAD NOWHERE TO GO
That story when told by the prosecution at Leicester County Magistrate's Court today when Mrs. North, who said she now lived at 25, West-avenue, Wigston Magna, was summoned for wilfully exposing her children in a manner to cause them unnecessary suffering at South Wigston. etc.

Also mentions husband in prison and mother, at 125 Countesthorpe-road, had no room etc.

There is a picture of Avis and the children.

David
