Binbrook - the corner pieces of the family jigsaw [Enderby family]
« on: Monday 12 February 24 17:30 GMT (UK) »
This is a bit of a long shot but does anyone have the following that they would be willing to share:

Binbrook - the corner pieces of the family jigsaw [Enderby family].
Author: Hayward, Karen
Journal Title: Lincolnshire Poacher: Quarterly Companion to 'Lincolnshire Life' vol 6 no 3 Autumn 2005 pp29-31
I am researching the Enderby families in Binbrook but cannot find this. If all else fails I may have to order it via my public library.

I am in Liverpool so can't access this at the Foster Library and it isn't available to buy from the publishers.

Many thanks
Linda Ferguson

That's the next thing on my list!

Have you researched newspapers? Quite a few relating to Enderbys of Binbrook, including:-

Stamford Mercury 1 November 1799
CAPITAL FREEHOLD ESTATE
In Binbrook
2 A Close in the occupation of W.Enderby,  0 1 14

Stamford Mercury 4th February 1825
DIED
At Binbrook, on the 23rd ult., Sarah the wife of W. Enderby, aged 73. She was the mother of 20 children, which she brought up with industry, and lived to see them all married. She was the grandmother to 61 children, and great grandmother to 12.

The Standard Friday 1st March 1957
SEARCHING FOR ANCESTORS
Mrs. **** (might be living) received a letter from Mrs. Rosabel H. Ashton, of Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A., which says: "I have learned that you are a great-grand-daughter of Thomas Enderby, born February 27th, 1823, in Binbrook, who was the son of William Enderby, christened September 20th, 1778, Binbrook, married to Mary --. I am a great-grand-daughter of William Enderby and Mary. Do you know the maiden name of Mary?"
etc. later. mentions Mary's maiden name as Simon.
