I am having real problems deciphering this will. I am particularly interested in the word after Thos: Hewgill my ?
But any more would be great.

I thought it may be nephew but doubted it because why does he leave his tenant right to his nephew when he has a son? (John s/o Anthonie Hewgill bap 19th Oct 1569 - Transcription Crosby Ravensworth Parish Records)

I have thought about the word ‘nephew’.
Anthony Hewgill of this Will 1589 left his tenant right etc to Thomas because he was the eldest son of his deceased eldest son Anthony who had died two years previously in 1587.
So it was passing down through the eldest son line.I don’t know why they wrote nephew but think it should have been Grandson

It turns out that nephew was regularly used for grandson at this time.
