HI mckha489   I think it is this one.        DOB matches military draft cards. So not 1891.

Joseph's nearest friend or relative is recorded as Neil McDaid of Urrismenagh. On his marriage in 1920 that is also the name of his father.

1911 census Neil McDaid of Urrismenagh

Same family in 1901 census (includes Joseph)

Well that has taken me a huge amount of time, but I think this may be your man …..

Joseph   born 18 Oct 1885 – Son of Neil McDAID/ McDADE and Betty DOHERTY ( this agrees with names on his New York marriage record and his shipping record)
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1885/02625/1968584.pdf
It is not the same date of birth as on Naturalization or USA military draft documents.

Note: the name McDEVITT / McDAVITT is the anglicised version of McDAID / McDADE.
When searching Irish records it is best to use wildcards to pick up all the different spellings.
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)

1872 Marriage of Neal McDaid to Betty Doherty

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1872/11296/8143892.pdf

It looks as if their first child was John mcDAID born in 1874.
It appears he was also in the USA (Tennessee) from about 1903.
