I'm puzzled as to why MaidinEngland can't open the pdf file.

My default  opes automatically with Adobe Acrobat but I can open with Chrome without any problems.

Could there be some problem with the file itself?

Yes it does seem odd behaviour, as is the apparent opening of Word when the PDF was dropped into Chrome.

It's possible to convert to Word if you either have the full prog or use a trial version. I wonder if this is what happened.
