Calvert Fitzgerald Moore
« on: Saturday 17 February 24 17:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,
I'm looking for informations about my husband family: We hare italians but my husband has irish ancestors. We know that his gran gran gran mother was Evelyn Moore, that lived in Geneva (died 1911). Evelyn's grandfater (mother side) was Calvert Fitzgerald Moore - chapelain of Queen Victoria, her mother was Julia Moore, Calvert's doughter but we do not know who was her father.
My fater in law, remember trat his grandma (Evelyn's doughter named Renata Asinelli) told him that  the Evelyn's father was probaly another Moore named Lorenzo and Queen Victoria's messanger. Grandma Renata also told that the family have irish roots and was linked to the Moores of Drogheda (my fater in law heired some objetct of his ancestors wit the Moore motto "fortis cadere cedere non potest") but we can't find the link between Evelyn and the Moore of Drogheda.
I hope that someone can help us. Thanks (and sorry for my english  ;D)

You can buy Julia’s Will for £1.50
From https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/

You have to register.

To find the form when you fill in the year of death put 1914 not 1913

Scroll down past the bit that says there are no results and you will see an image of a page.
There is a link for ordering at the top of the image.

The date of Probate is 26 June 1914
The Folio number is 986.

When the will is ready they email you and you have to log into your account and download it.

I've overwritten my original post reply #4 (senior moment  ::) ).

I think the bit I deleted refered to the 1881 census where Lorenzo and Lucy are at Horley, Surrey with children Florence and Gertrude

Who is the Evelyn Frances MOORE baptised at Heavitree Devon, 5th January 1859
daughter of Lorenzo MOORE a Gent, and Frances

the birth registration has the mother's name before marriage as MOORE
And which Lorenzo is that?  There do seem to be a few Lorenzo MOOREs around!
