60 years this year Bumble,

Jeff, the Drs appointment system is very frustrating , I wonder how some poor souls manage who don't have the Internet.

That was jolly bad luck you mixed with someone with TB,  I am sure you will be accommodated locally, I liked the,  crack of  sparrow,  I call it silly o'clock.

I am waiting a procedure,  referred me to somewhere 20 miles ish away, 2 busses, I train and another bus to get there, plus I am not driving out  of my area and my husbands driving worries me, if I want to be referred locally I will have to wait till the end of this year or possibly next , it is getting ridiculous.

Yes, 60 years but I won't be asking Charles for a special message.  And I'd only known him for about 6 months.  In the same lodgings, then we got expelled one evening for having a newspaper fight (other lodgers, not our landlady).  After that I got my sailing date for migration to NZ, and he persuaded me to go to London with him instead, and get married.  OH found me somewhere to live and then we went to the local Register Office, asked when we might be able to marry.  Question asked "do you want to apply for a Licence? - No.  3 weeks on Saturday, then = OK  8)  AND I have never had any regrets  ;D

I'll agree with that sentiment - AND -  I haven't asked, either  :-X

BUT - I wouldn't swap him for "all the tea in China" - Oh, dear, I don't like or drink tea  8)

Yes congratulations to you both, it is an achievement .
Hope you have your special days suitably marked.
We had got to 58, then m y O H died, I would have loved to have had him beyond that.

Well a lovely day with the tiddlers,Flash Harry had a lovely day with a remote controlled helicopter of my son’s,Kyra chalk and blackboard and a teeny tiny tea set, cups not much bigger than a hazelnut .
She had a larger size Dolly’s TeaSet at Christmas and loved that too.
My son really gets down to their level .

Kyra is really expressing herself well, very jolly little girl. and a sense of humour ,confident too.
Came running in shouting “ GRANDMA”.

Hope all those with health problems get prompt relief .
Cheerio. Look after yourselves .
Viktoria.

I do read the diary but rarely reply so here goes

Viktoria - good to hear you had such a lovely time with the family.

LM - sorry to hear about the bats in your church.

BumbleB - 60 years congratulations. I loathe tea, I’ve never drunk it. I was introduced to coffee around the age of 12 and I’ve drunk that ever since.

Radstockjeff - it must have been a bit of a shock to get the letter about being a TB contact, I’m glad it can be sorted in your home locality.

Candle flame - I’m impressed that you’ve been out weeding. I live in a block of 7 flats built on the site of a large Victorian house. We have a large garden and have a gardener but I really must buy some more plants for the bit I call mine. Every time I think about doing my bit of garden it pours with rain!

To those with the disappearing cutlery, I sympathise. Here it is a vegetable knife that frequently disappears. It then turns up a few days later in the cutlery drawer where I swear it wasn’t during the week!

To those with the wandering sock problem I sympathise. When mine go missing I find them in a pillow case or quilt cover a few weeks later when I’ve given up hope of finding them. Come to think about it I haven’t mislaid any for a while!

To anyone I’ve missed out and the rest of you I hope you have a good week.

A distant relative (5th cousin) who I met in the early days if my family history research is coming for lunch today. We haven’t met up for ages probably pre Covid. It’ll be good to see each other again. Years ago this relative showed her aunt a photograph, taken 25 years previously, of me, the aunt thought the photo of me was her sister!

Just realised I’ve forgotten to buy some bread rolls for lunch so I’d better get organised and pop down to the local supermarket for them.
