Aologies for delay.
Yes that does sound a good idea but.............On Jane's death certificate in the box for the informant there is no reference to their address.
Informants's signature and qualification (signed) Alex Smith widower.
I think I will wait a few days and see if this post receives any more interest from anyone then go back to plan a and order what I think might be a second marriage for Alexander James Smith.
Thank you again for helping.

Sorry should have said only gives Jane's death place and usual address.  Nothing for the informant
Well, if it was her husband/widower I don't think it would need to show his address separately, though it does sometimes.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Hi Everyone,
A very kind person obtained the details for me from the death certificate of Alexander James Smith.
The marriage certificate has also arrived.
Between the two documents I have been able to confirm the research on this Smith family is going to be correct.  Just a few loose ends but otherwise mission accomplished.
Many thanks to everyone who has helped.  Always appreciated.
