Street not on UK census?
« on: Tuesday 20 February 24 00:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I can't find this street on census In 1850.

St James Terrace, Winchester, UK.

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to locate a Rev. William Burton Dynham am who lived there. The census deos refer to him, but they keep referring to a church not his residence?

Thanks, Lee

He died in 1852 aged 45 & was buried on 30.9.1852 at St James St Pancras.  Address on burial register is Parkfield St Islington

Residence in St. Swithun Street in Winchester in 1851 makes absolute sense since that is the street where his church was situated.

Thanks everyone. Regarding the Chronicle is part of my puzzle. Although the newspaper has him as St James Terrace, I can't find any official record of this?

I can't find this street on census In 1850.

St James Terrace, Winchester, UK.

St James' Terrace ia at Peice 1674, Folio 84,  Page number 59.  It is in the parish of St Thomas.

Hi Debra, thank you.

Could you help me understand your reply please?

What does 'at Peice' mean?

Is there a way to get the door number from your information and associate William Dynham with the specific property talked about in the Chronicle?

Why is St Thomas listed, but not St James Terrence?

Thanks, Lee
