Arrow
« on: Tuesday 20 February 24 08:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi.
I'm looking for the possible death of Sarah trangmar arrow who was born 1889 Reigate surrey and was baptised Redhill in the May.
I know of her parents ect but just can't find a marriage or death.
She had an illegitimate son called Kenneth percival elphick born 28 April 1928 Brighton sussex. Kenneth had two birth certificates.  One in elphick and one in arrow. The one of arrow was amended to elphick .
His father was percy Gordon elphick. He went on to marry someone else in 1932.
Her son Kenneth is on the 1939 census/register but living with the drake family and he died 2000 Rotherham.
Any help with the death of Sarah arrow would be gratefully received.

She appears to be a waitress in Brighton in 1939 ( using the name Elphick and claiming to be married).

For anyone else looking - she is in quite a few trees on Ancestry but the public ones do not show a death.

Also that 1939 gives a different birth year of 1886 so she was fluid with her age.  What was her birth date from her birth certificate?

Added : Sorry, that one is not a waitress.  Confused.

Hi yes I saw this one too.
she seemed to have flitted from the name arrow and elphick.
I suppose being the mother of an illegitimate child it would of been easier to pretend you were married.
Thanks for looking.

Hi yes I’ve seen here on a few trees but as you say no death .
Since posting I had found her on the 1939 but using her illegitimate sons surname and pretended to be married.
Although it seemed she didn’t live with her son. She seems to be flitting from arrow to elphick . Thanks for looking
