That's brilliant, thank you.
For the sake of continuity in case anyway finds this string of use for their research if they stumble9 across it.
A Chevening marriage (a few miles up the road) has a William COOK marriage to Mary HORSNAIL 3rd Dec 1782. That looks right on the target date for the Brasted cluster of births, and indeed burials. Can't be 100% sure it's even just one family unit, but it is plausible. Mary's death at aged 66 in 1824, William at aged 84 in 1842.
The census entry in Sevenoaks workhouse aged 80, must be him.
Obviously these folk are all quite close to Surrey, so I think the research needs to be expanded. Adjacent parishes to Brasted also to be checked to ensure they are in the collective databases for the Sevenoaks area.
The research into this COOK family in Sevenoaks, has been triggered by a feasible DNA link with a COOK family in Maidstone/Chatham. It was hoped the Brasted link would have been established with them around this generation, ie born circa 1750-1760.
If it is a link with the same family with DNA , there is perhaps another generation or two as a limit
So the expansion of the research with the Brasted siblings of Thomas might be interesting.
My research is collated as the" Kent COOK/COOKE family tree" on a widely use platform.
Contributions to this database welcomed.
