Preston Family at Long Preston

My great grandfather, William Preston married Ellen Oldfield 1837 in Settle.  They went on to have, I believe, 13 children.

What I want to know is did William have any other family, siblings etc., and more about Ellen Oldfield because I can't find out anything prior to their marriage.  I have them on the 1851 Census with William as a Cotton Weaver but nothing before that.

Any help would be great.

In 1841 census for Kirkby Malham, abode Scosthrop, you will find James Preston, 53, and Mary Preston. James occupation cotton ?dresser?
It is quite easy to find them in the next few census records, still in Scosthrop village.
