Regarding Charles Henry Kerr, I have been speaking with his Grandaughter here in Australia and she says that he died in Sligo possiibly in 1959 and that he was in his early 90's . his daughter Evelyn had married a Wilson and was also living in Sligo. Henry Charles had spent time in Ceylon and several of his children were born there, but he returned to Ireland before his death. A son, Clarence Terence Kerr also spent time in Ceylon before coming to Australia.
A death Record might confirm his birth year
   I hope this is helpful

A death Record might confirm his birth year

As a general principle, no to 'confirm', sometimes reported age at death can be accurate, other times it can be very inaccurate.  Anyhow, there was a Charles Henry Kerr of 40 Causeway Street in Portrush Co. Antrim who died in the Coleraine Hospital on 24 February 1955, a widower, a journalist, the informant of his death was a daughter Evelyn M. H. Wilson of 3 Martello Terrace, Holywood Co. Down, his reported age was 92, a newspaper death notice said he was in the 93rd year, placing birth c. 1862/3.

From the PRONI Will Calendars: Kerr Charles Henry of 40 Causeway Street Portrush county Antrim retired journalist died 24 February 1955 at Coleraine Hospital Coleraine county Londonderry Probate Belfast 6 April to Isaac Howard Wilson retired bank official. Effects £335 4s. 3d.

The GRONI website marriage index shows an Evelyn Kerr marrying an Isaac Wilson on 7 September 1932, the marriage was registered at Belfast.  So I'm still pretty comfortable with this being the Charles Henry Kerr born and baptised in 1861 at Ramelton in Co. Donegal.

Gaffy
That is excellent thank you Gaffy. I now have his death date  24/2/1855 and place and i agree that the age does indicate that the Charles born 1861 is Charles Henry ,
Even family don't have their facts right !
I don't think i have ever researched a family that has moved around as much as this one.
My own family virtually stayed in one place for nigh on 200 years , with many spinning off it to other places.
Also thankyou Kiltglasson for the birth of Charles Henry Hay Kerr.
Softly Softly, I have viewed both Census thankyou.
You are all amazing you seem to be operating 24 hours a day.
