This 1848 marriage in Raphoe Church of Ireland might be related to James Kerr, it's a Charles Kerr, son of Morgan Kerr, servant:

I was going to post the same, as Charles was witness at his brother James marriage.

Same Church of Ireland parish (Lower Fahan), for parents recorded as Morgan and Ann(e) Kerr, a son Charles was baptised on 17 May 1818 (born 13 May) and a son William Thomas was baptised on 12 December 1824 (address = Fortstewart).  Then in Tullyaughnish parish, a son James was baptised on 11 November 1827 (Fortstewart again), followed by a son Henry baptised on 21 March 1830 (same address) and a daughter Jane baptised on 12 March 1835 (same address).

Marriage of parents

Co. Dublin rather than Co. Donegal, but the father of the following Anne Drew who married George Edward Maguire in 1852 was recorded as James Drew a painter, so just to note for now until it can be ruled in or out:

St. George's (Church of Ireland) parish church, Dublin, a Sarah Drew was baptised there on 8 June 1835 (born 18 May), daughter of James and Anne Drew of Lower Temple Street, his occupation recorded as painter:

Just a 'maybe' for the parent's marriage, again St. George's, on 19 May 1828, James Drue and Anne Wilson:

Gaffy
You are amazing, you are finding records faster than I can read them.
Although  the family has moved around a lot, all the dates and names fit to be the family i am looking for.
Your help has been fantastic, thank you very much
Morgan Drew's marriage in 1917 is likely to be the earliest that we will be able to find . Yhat is about when most of my searches in Ireland end.
 Thank you very much.

There seems to be a problem:
Quote :
His sister Kathleen was a witness to his marriage, her birth record link attached suggests parentage of James Kerr and Sarah Kerr nee' Drew

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1876/03047/2117405.pdf
This Kathleen is not the same one as the witness to James marriage  . He was married 1856 She is born 1876 with parents that suggest she is Jame's daughter

The witness Kathleen could be another sister to James
