Reynolds family, Leitrim Ireland
« on: Sunday 25 February 24 09:27 GMT (UK) »
Hi, Having trouble searching for 3x grt grandparents Francis Reynolds & Ann McCartney's marriage. Not sure of exact dates, but I have their son Peter, who was born in 1825, either  Rossinver or possibly Kiltubbrid Leitrim. If I find out where they were married, it would help to find Peter's birthplace. They were RC.,so have checked already.
I have traced a Francis Reynolds , Griffith's Evaluations to Aghacashlaun, Kiltubbrid & also living in Mohill, Leitrim.
Hope someone can help, Thank you.
Cheers, Debbie

Hello and welcome to Rootschat.
There are many published trees online and it looks as though Rossinver is from Peter’s death record in Australia.

The trees show Peter in 1851 census in Yorkshire. Is that right?
This is the record on Family Search - ‘Raynols’ , although elsewhere it is transcribed as Reynolds.

*you have to register with FS but it is free.

There are some possible townlands but I wonder if his 1851 census recorded birthplace - Drumgane, Rossinver parish

What is his father’s occupation on Peter’s marriage certificate?
