Diary summary week ending 3rd March
« on: Monday 26 February 24 08:40 GMT (UK) »
Good morning  folks
Who can believe we are starting yet another week but March, time seems to be flying buy.

After yesterday waking up to frost and mist today is quite bright but blowing a gale, washing will  have to be double pegged  otherwise it will  be on walkabouts

Hope everyone is feeing brighter this week, I cut my first daffodils  yesterday but I know that others have them  earlier, they are cheerful flowers

Take care everyone .

Trying hard to cheer up. Late last week GP's staff ordered wrong item twice, on repeat prescription, and didn't order more important one - I was so busy I didn't realise 'til too late when 2 days later I managed to find time to collect from our really efficient pharmacy.
Today spent all morning waiting (2nd week!) in vain for a call from nice man at virgin ( no-one rang) and 20 mins trying to get through to GP (cut off after 20 mins of waiting) so I'm totally frustrated all round. Grrrrr!
Great start to the week, isn't it?

I wouldn't wait till tomorrow TY, I'd take it into your own hands and ring the man at Virgin today or it'll be on your mind all night. If it was me I'd be giving them a bit of earache!

As for the GP, mine are always busy in the mornings so it might be worth trying them again before afternoon surgery starts.

I sympathise T.Y.
Given drug advice the wrong way round at The Heart Failure Clinic ,given a lrflet about Entresto( Sacubitril Valsarstan) with lots of confusing advice etc.
Given a letter which I thought was for me ,with new meds on it.
To increase Ramipril to 2.5 .
However the leaflet said to stop Ramipril  48 hours before taking any
Entresto !
So I phoned the hospital and spoke to the same Nurse, again not very clear. She asked had I taken the letter to my GP——- well I assumed that would be done electronically and this hard copy was mine with the complicated instructions .,but no it was for the GP.so I took it down and handed it to a receptionist ,since when it has disappeared !
After a lot of phoning etc a copy has been sent electronically and the receptionist gave me clearer verbal instructions.
Then a leaflet with info regarding Forxiga ( Dapaglifozin) ) came and seemingly that is the one to start immediately with a doubling of Ramipril!
Then after my next appointment is when I stop Ramipril and start on the
Entresto!!!
But wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume the prescription you had got would be the first drug to be used not the second one for which you had no prescription —— just a leaflet which did not have anything to do with a drug meant to be used at this time , the prescription was for a drug to be started in a couple of months after using one that I had no prescription for,and only after further tests ECG  and Echo scan.
It beggars belief , I will go tomorrow but usually they are closed on Tuesdays ,I can phone in the morning .
The Pharmacist at the Health Centre stopped Spironolactone,a diuretic, why I don’t know ,not after I had seen a Dr either -
 So swollen ankles etc now.
I must write it all down , or will only ask half the questions I need to ask .

Washing dry I think but so cold hard to tell.
When the ironing from this morning is fully aired after heating has been on this evening I can put this lot on the maiden.

Hope all are well, look after yourselves.
Viktoria.

Our daffodils aren’t even out yet as it’s been too cold ( and wet! ).

Bluebells are popping up in the garden, but the naughty Spanish sort. There  were some in the lane but I dug them up, so they would not spread.

A bright sunny day but very cold.
Supposed to get much colder later in the week.

A pamphlet from a garden centre came today very cheap but —- ?
Some lupins and foxgloves would be nice .

Well Only Connect , In the hope I might be able to answer one or two. :-\

Just seen the news on the BBC website - the owners of "The Crooked House" will have to rebuild it - hurrah  ;D ;D
