Here's a  point,  do workers get paid an extra  days pay because it is leap year  and what about us pensioners, just a thought.

In theory it should only affect someone who is paid an annual salary as the daily rate would be different.

Just a bit light heartedness really , or silliness whatever way you are thinking .

It is not a nice day, again, Tuesday was beautiful,   my friend and I went to Chelmsford,  if was such a nice day and I got my washing  dry, I  expect you all think i am obsessed  with washing  but I do like to get it out and back in dry.

Just got to finish off the last curtain I have altered, will be happy to see them up, never again will I  alter curtains unless they are unlined, to make things easier I altered them from the top but I still had to get the lining right.

I look for short cuts L.M. !
I would have done it the lazy way from the bottom, mine are a camel on cream check in the lounge so the actual edge of the squares were a good straight guide when I shortened them .
It would have irritated me had they not been level.
I am sure you have done a good job.

Well all good at eye appointment today.
Pressure 9.1 Rt eye and 11 in L eye.
No drops now  other than those for dry eye.
Many thanks folks for your kind wishes about this ,it has been a long haul .

Son has just phoned to say he has arrived BUT the red warning light is back after supposedly being sorted at a Volvo garage yesterday.
He is to take it back on his return. Not very good is it!

Gosh March tomorrow!
The  weeks fly by so quickly and as has been said ,perhaps more so as we get older.
Is it worth putting Christmas Decorations away or even taking them down!

Must go to the Cemetery, there are always lots of Snowdrops lovely to see in the big drifts.
My late friend’s baby grandson is buried there, a cot death, she is dead now,a good friend and I like to remember her.
She is buried at Crawshawbooth,up the valley,I can’t get there but like to go to the baby’s grave so close by me, she would appreciate that.
The baby’s daddy is also dead now and in his little son’s grave so my friend would really appreciate me going.
I miss her very much.

So interesting coming home from Rochdale over the moors, still not yet green yet, but such good views with the tall tower blocks of Manchester  in the distance.

Look after yourselves everyone and thanks again.
Viktoria.

As it's leap year I've been planning to ask a man on a date .

I warned him that I would but yesterday he was ill so I had to do it by text .

I offered an old fogey date ( he's 4 years older than me ) at the age UK centre where they have a restaurant and activities . I suggested line dancing or alternatively a film as I want to see " one love " Bob Marley story

Fell asleep before 9pm so didn't see the nice answer . : he can't dance 🩰 no balance but likes food and films !
When he's better

On the health front .
I had displaced crystals .menieres  which has affected my balance for past 2 months . I've been avoiding going on computer or phone WiFi (hence my absence on posts ) + avoiding stairs and shopping unaccompanied.

The plus side is I had a birthday 65 and am now entitled to MHSOP
mental health services for older people

I have become someone in need of care and Adult social services are helping me get on a housing list...for a place with an alarm cord or at least get an automatic fall allerters .. gadget which will call someone if I'm unconscious.
Age UK  can help me fill in forms
+ Another service is looking if my flat needs adapting + even if I can have a personal shopper for 6 weeks
Otherwise I have to shop every few days but not carry more than 4lbs (2 kg )
My sister always gives me a bag of shopping on a Sunday...I don't write a list but it's what she's got on b1g1free .meals she's made treats or things she thinks i.ll need
Sometimes she texts to ask what I need if she's heading 4 a weekly shop .

Once a month I ask the father of the lad I mentor to add some things for me to their weekly shop . +
I try to find someone every couple of weeks to share & carry market purchases
Leicester market has pound a bowl system big silver bowls so about 6 bananas . 4 avocados 7 + potatoes

Even if I give away half it's still cheaper than supermarket food  but I can only just carry to nearest bus stop . Or I don't buy potatoes and maybe get a punnet of strawberries or kiwis or red 🫑 peppers

I can't eat most other fruit and vegetables as
the skin triggers IBS reactions .

For someone who uses food bank they can feel helpful and accept the free produce  in exchange for carrying my bag to busstop . Or I donate the half I can't carry to nearby community shop I sometimes give some bananas to the falafel stall where they make smoothies. He always gives discount when I bring new customers and if I'm feeling under weather his special orange carrot apple banana &;ginger smoothie 🥤 is a real pick up

The orange & beetroot one is special too
