Seeley Bertrand George, Frederick Robert and John Thomas

For the Franklin Genealogy WW2 project, I am seeking photos and information on Bertrand George Seeley #35884 NZ Army, born 5 Aug 1918, Frederick Robert Seeley #4712 NZ Navy born 20 Jan 1914 and John Thomas #64808 NZ Army born 26 Aug 1917.
They are the sons of Robert and Edith SEELEY, farmers of Buckland, near Pukekohe
I have birth, death and marriage details and information from Cenotaph, Auckland War Museum but am seeking other interesting information to put in their life stories. Photos are particularly sought.

Does somebody in your genealogy group possibly have a subscription to Ancestry.com [or similar site] where "family trees" published by their owners, can be viewed ?
That is always a good "first port of call" to track down family contacts ... and for sourcing photgraphs
and obtaining background information on the person/persons you are seeking.

Thanks for your responses.
I have Ancestry but haven't found anything useful on this site. I did contact people who had the parents on their trees, but no response as yet.
And yes, I have tried Papers past too, although as I am trying to find something of their life after the war, not many papers are online for this period.
I am hopeful that I will be able to find a living contact who can assist.

Yes, I was just about to add to my last reply.     

Of course PapersPast at this time, only goes up to dates which won't cover the years you want.

Do you have a local library (or access to a facility) which holds newspapers (and farming magazines perhaps), in microfiche/ microform format ?      As you have their dates of death, seeking out possible obituaries shouldn't be too difficult a task.

Have you tried obtaining "free" publicity from your local newspaper / community paper / farming publications etc. to assist with your cause ?

Even an advertisement (a freebie) seeking relatives or friends who might help you with building a story of the lives of these men  ?

We can help here too, to some degree  ... and happy to do that.   

But just think that with the era you're focused on, later newspapers etc. and more locally-sourced info might give you better (and more immediate) results.  Here's hoping ....  good luck with your searching.

What's happening to Papers Past - the last 3 days I have not been able to link into it - always asks if I am a robot - then it just times out.
