... Have you found another sister couch Smyth not sure what her really name was. But she married Anthony mc keown from dundalk.
I suspect you mean Cαit (from Catherine), the internet gives several ways of saying it, the ones I know (in Northern Ireland) pronounce it as Kawtch. Anyway, the (Drogheda) Argus of 29 June 1990 carried a small photo of a Mrs Catherine (Cait) McKeown and an obituary, here is some of the wording from it (a couple of names withheld in case alive):
Her many friends and acquaintances throughout Dundalk were saddened by the death after a long illness of Mrs. Catherine Cait McKeown which occurred on Sunday, June 17, at her home, 32 Fr. Murray Park, Dundalk. She is survived by her husband, XXXXX; brother XXXXX (Long Island, New York); nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and relatives. Belonging to one of Dundalk's oldest and esteemed families, she was the former Miss Cait Smyth, daughter of the late Annie and James Smyth, Clanbrassil Street. Aged 65, she was predeceased by her brothers, Paddy and Jimmy, and sister, Mrs. Maura McKeown, Pearse Park. It goes on to mention that she worked most of her life in Connolly's shoe factory, was associated with the Marist Fathers and St. Mary's Church and engaged in a lot of church activity and charitable work. The funeral took place, after Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, to St. Patrick's cemetery.
