death records - CRONIN/DONOVAN/BEVAN lookup please

Hi all,

I have an ancestor called Kate born Cronin who married James Donovan and later married Roger Bevan after James' death.

What I've managed to collect -
When Kate Cronin was born in 1866 in Cork, her father, Jeremiah, was 27, and her mother, Catherine, was 27. She married James Donovan in Cork, on 26 May 1885 when she was 19 years old in the presence of Timothy Cronin and Margaret Donovan (witnesses) and they had two children together (Mary and Kate). She then married Roger Bevan when they both lived in the workhouse and they had one daughter together (Maggie). She lived in Watergrasshill, Cork, on 2 April 1911.

I can't find any information on her death anywhere, not sure where I'm going wrong! Can anyone help?

Did daughter, Catherine Donovan marry John Shinkwin?

There is a death for Catherine Bevin, in 1940 where the informant is John Shinkwin. The residence is 6, Step Lane (as is John’s address on marriage).

Thanks for your reply - I did think this but done a little research and some registrars may have used the term 'full age' for anyone marrying with parental consent, even if they were younger than 21. I have her birth records so she was definitely 19 when she married x
