Any ressource - James Heney - Clonallon/Warrenpoint
« on: Friday 01 March 24 18:43 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any trace of James Heney (1807-1893), my Irish ancestor on my mother's side. His parents were Thomas Heney (1770-1867) and Ann Morgan (1783-1856). They emigrated to Canada between 1824 and 1840 and I have records (marriage, death, descendants) of James and his parents in Canada.

Thomas and Ann married around 1796 (their first born Samuel in 1797, then Thomas jr. in 1799, John in 1800, Mary in 1807, James in 1807, Arthur in 1812, Peter in 1818, Owen in 1820, and Michael in 1824).

I know parish records are scarce before 1825 but any trace would be helpful. I've already searched through Ancestry and other Irish resources online like Griffith's valuation but found nothing since it also started later. I have no clue if Thomas came with the army or as a civilian. Any info would be appreciated.
