Finally found the 1939 entry - mistranscribed - have reported correct spelling

Bit gruesome wanting her clothing.

He was b 1886 - I wondered if he was the 1961 death in Dec qtr Stoke - shows as Pennington (per GRO index as well) aged 74

But it was written above 18-11-1896 - 69 years in 1965 would fit him.
Florence died the year before as per his newspaper suicide detail.

Not sure a Lycett relative is going to be nearer enough blood relative for CWGC purposes, so think will see what becomes of the messages sent to tree owners.
