James Boyd and Jane ?
« on: Monday 04 March 24 19:53 GMT (UK) »
I have these two having children, mainly in Leyton between 1791 and 1817.
James 1791, Mary Ann 1792, Elizabeth 1796, Charlotte 1798, John 1800, William 1803, Robert 1805, Charles 1807, Henry 1808, Ann 1809, Joseph 1811 and Frances 1817.

There's a Jane Boyd born c1770, living in Leyton, with her son George who was born c1800 Leyton. However, I can't find a baptism for a George with a mother Jane.

Can anyone find a marriage for James and Jane? Also their births and a link with George?

Thank you 😊

Do you think it's the same George Boyd 55 who is living with Joseph and his family in 1851. It says visitor - could be brother.

If so maybe baptised as John but went by George?

1841 Jane says not born in County so the marriage could be anywhere.

next door is Frances Bull and husband James.Proabably her daughter

Frances Boyd married James Bull 9 September 1838 St Leonard Shoreditch
Her father  James deceased, his father Thomas deceased.

That does sound probable. Thank you.
Pain about the not born in county and about James being decreased at the marriage of Frances 🙄

There is a death for James Boyd 1825 aged 60, so born circa 1765.

Jane dies 1841 aged 77 - born circa 1764.

There is a bap. for a Jane Boyd 1814 daughter of James and Sarah. I wondered if Sarah was a mistake, as her birth fits nicely between Joseph and Frances.

I'm curious how the Gilderson family fits in.

There are some Boyd burial transcriptions here

https://records.wffhs.org.uk/bur.php

popped Boyd into the marriage search and with 1851 in mind, Joseph Boyd marries Louisa Warrow 1832 and one of the witnesses is a Jane Boyd
