I’m not sure if  Arthur (1914 Sculcoates) is the same family.

I agree with Neale here.  Cannot confirm it is the same family.

Burials at Holbeck Cemetery are informative.

Fred DAWSON. d. 9th Jan 1916. Aged 10 months. Address Shelley Street Hanslet. Plot 1661
Willie DAWSON d. 2nd  March 1920. Age 0. Address Shelley Street, Hunslet. Plot 1168
Clifford DAWSON d. 24 Feb 1920 Age 15 months. Address Shelley Street, Hunslet. Plot 1168.

Arthur DAWSON . 12th Feb 1916 (a month after Fred) Address Cable Street. Plot 1654.
So it looks like different family, but by no means conclusive.

When I saw that Arthur was born Sculcoates, it seemed odd to me too. However, I can't find another Dawson/Lightowler couple that he could belong to, and in trying to find anything substantial one way or the other, just ended up with a bunch of possibly just circumstantial stuff.

As you say, the findagrave entry for Arthur says he died at Cable Street.
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/226554533/arthur-dawson

In the 1911, there is a John William Dawson on Cable Street, with wife Fanny Jones.
When this couple married in 1895, one of their witnesses was a Harry Dawson.
John William Dawson, son of John, in the 1881 census, lived at 6 Hilledge Road.
From the marriage of Harry Dawson to Mary Ann Lightowler in 1906, Harry's address is 4 Hilledge Road.  During the war, address was Shelley Street, per his army records up to at least early 1920's  In 1939, the family is back on Hilledge St.
I got frustrated and stopped looking.  As the OP stated, there are a LOT of Dawsons!

Possibly the Sculcoates birth was a result of a lying-in at relatives, and possibly the children were sent to various homes if measles/TB etc had hit,....or there is some other Dawson/Lightowler couple out there.  Only Arthur's birth registration will sort this one out!

Edit: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/226915132/joseph-lightowler  4 Hilledge, Mary Ann's father

There doesn't seem to be a family grave;  we know Fred and Willie are brothers.

Fred Dawson  d1916  plot 1661 Shelley St

Arthur Dawson b 1914  d1916  plot 1654  Cable St

Willie Dawson 1917-1920 plot 1168 Shelley Street

Well there was this marriage

Sept quarter 1897
DAWSON    Reginald
LIGHTOWLER  Ethel May
Hull    9d   460

A couple of births before Harry and Mary Ann started their family, so there could well be overlap,

There is the joint plot shared by Clifford and Willie and the same address.

Well there was this marriage

Sept quarter 1897
DAWSON    Reginald
LIGHTOWLER  Ethel May
Hull    9d   460

That couple did have a son named Arthur, born 26 July 1914 in Hull. He is living with his parents in 1939 register.

I believe the  Arthur Dawson born 1914 and died 1916 was a different mother (Tottie)
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)
Roberts - Spry: (Cornwall, Middlesex & Queensland)
Munster: (Schleswig-Holstein & Queensland) and Plate: (Braunschweig, Neubruck & Queensland & New York)

Interesting.... that Reginald does have a son Arthur born 1914 with him on the 1939.
So the 1916 Cable Street Arthur death isn't a match for the 1914 Sculcoates birth.
Well spotted, Sue!

Edit Snap, Neale, you beat me!
