General Service Medal 1918 with the clasp for Palestine (1945-48). The LS&GC is the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, awarded after 12 15 years unblemished service. 'Unblemished' here means no entries on his regimental conduct sheet; minor misdemeanors on the company conduct sheet were disregarded. It was only awarded to soldiers in the Regular Army. The TA equivalent is the Efficiency Medal.
