Free Access to Ancestry Canada until 16th March
« on: Tuesday 12 March 24 17:41 GMT (UK) »
https://www.ancestry.ca/c/canada-free-access?
Ends 12:59 pm ET, which I make to be 3:59 am GMT on Sunday 17th.

I was able to sign in at the above .ca URL with an Ancestry UK account. Not all collections were marked as FREE, e.g. I couldn't access some of the censuses, but my browser counted 489 FREEs, which should be enough to keep most people quiet. Creating an Ancestry Canada account (free, but I needed a different e-mail address) only gave one more.

As always with free periods, save anything of interest on your own device, as you'll need a sub to see it online after the offer closes.

It says 16th MARCH not November (which I thought unlikely!)

Whoops! Corrected. I had just reached November in some records I'm working on and had that month on my brain. It's lucky I didn't also say 1993!

All Canadian censuses are free at all times from Library and Archives Canada.

I believe they are also available from the familysearch website.
