WW1 Regt Transfer

I know when the King's Liverpool Pals Btns were Disbanded in Spring 1918 they were Transferred into other King's Btns
But I have just come across pages in the Medals Roll of a large number of Men in other King's Liverpool Btns were Transferred into the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers

Does anyone Know Why and When ?

On 7/4/18 308 OR's transferred to the 2/RIF.
9/10 another 64.
No mention of where from.
